Aboriginal Community Development Professional

We are seeking an exceptional Aboriginal Community Development Professional to join our team at the City of Stirling. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.
About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering and facilitating community engagement, empowerment, and participation to promote a connected and inclusive community. You will have a particular focus on the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the City of Stirling's Reconciliation Action Plan.
This role will coordinate effective partnership building with internal and external stakeholders. You will drive positive change to improve community well-being through the development and implementation of strategies that advance social equity, access, and inclusion.
About You
We recognize the key to our success is an exceptional Aboriginal person and therefore we are seeking an outstanding individual to join the team. The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:
- Relevant tertiary degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in a related field;
- Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal people to respond to the needs and aspirations of the community;
- Highly developed skills and demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and evaluating community development projects, strategic frameworks, and operational plans;
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing initiatives within defined timelines and budgets;
- Extensive knowledge of social issues, global trends, and best practices in social impact and community development.

This part-time position is a Level 7 (Inside Workforce Agreement), which attracts a salary from $96,000 to $101,000 gross pro rata per annum, plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence;
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months);
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance;
- The right to work in Australia.
