About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient placement support services during weekends and on statutory holidays by coordinating Support Workers that have the capacity and capability to deliver high quality services to Clients. This is an Acting Role with a focus on providing exceptional leadership and coordination to the Weekend Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Coordination of the Weekend Team, ensuring seamless delivery of placement support services.
  • Managing and developing efficient and effective placement protocols and processes to meet Client needs.
  • Delivering responsive placement support services to Clients, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Entering into and retrieving data from GoldCare/Innovcare, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Liaising with the branch Leads to ensure a streamlined service is always delivered, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
Requirements:
  • A Current NZ Driver's License, with a strong understanding of road safety and responsible driving practices.
  • A High level of IT literacy in the MS Office suite and Gold Care/Innovacare, with experience in data entry and management.
  • Competent in working with a Human Services Database, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing information, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team building skills, analytical and problem solving skills, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of working with older people and/or those with disabilities in the community, with a focus on person-centered care and support.
  • Understanding of the social model of service delivery in a community care environment, with a focus on empowerment and independence.
  • Awareness of the Home & Community Support Sector Standards, with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Knowledge of areas covered by Visionwest Community Trust, with a focus on community engagement and outreach.
