About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Telstra. As an Assistant Retail Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in executing the store strategy, leading and developing a team of Customer Advisors to drive sales and high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the induction of new team members and coach the store's team to meet and exceed store targets.
  • Support the team with customer query escalations and be the Store Manager's right-hand person, stepping up to act as Store Manager when needed.
  • Execute business initiatives in store to meet financial and customer key metrics.
  • Act as team leader, motivating the team and fostering an awesome store culture.
  • Organize the store floor and team's work schedules to meet customer demand.

About You

  • You have previous experience in a retail leadership or assistant management role.
  • You are able to energize and drive a retail team to exceed sales targets and KPIs with demonstrated success.
  • You lead from the front and are able to influence and build rapport with a diverse and varied team.
  • You are able to resolve customer issues with your eyes closed and can put a creative spin on problem solving.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can help support the Store Manager in taking team members through change.
