Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Trade Assistant to support our Field Service Technicians in maintaining and repairing Tomra's reverse vending machine installations. This is a field-based role that requires a strong focus on preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime of RVM installations
  • Maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance, managing planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns effectively
  • Implement machine upgrades as required to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fundamental issues with Tomra machinery, including mechanical and electrical problems
  • Respond to occasional work orders as needed
  • Report on service assignments and faults
  • Drive for long periods as required and attend to occasional call-outs outside your area
  • Provide excellent customer service to our partners and the public
  • Undertake cleaning of equipment
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of your work

Requirements

  • Experience in servicing and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment
  • Ability to diagnose rudimentary machinery issues and carry out necessary repairs
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience interacting face-to-face with customers
  • A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment
  • Unrestricted driver's license and willingness to submit a full driving history record
