Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR-Administration function in Sydney, Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to build and establish HR systems, policies, and procedures from the ground up, leading to a sustainable growth strategy for the company.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing general office administration, including facilities and vendor management. They will also be responsible for overseeing workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance and initiatives, as well as liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Systems and Processes: Design, develop, and implement effective HR systems, policies, and procedures that support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and engage top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster positive employee relationships, address conflicts, and provide support to employees through various programs and initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards, minimizing risk to the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legislation; excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP, HRCI PHR, or other relevant certifications an asset.
