Nursing Unit Manager Intensive Care UnitWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Nursing Unit Manager to join our team in Broken Hill. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing, leading and organising the nursing and multi-disciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- You will lead and coordinate the nursing and multi-disciplinary care team at the ward or unit level, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- You will monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit, making informed decisions to drive efficiency and quality improvement.
- You will demonstrate your leadership capabilities through attitude, skills, behaviour, and attributes, setting a positive example for the team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in managing teams and driving business outcomes. You will be a strategic thinker, able to analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions.

Job Requirements:- Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the critical care environment.
- Demonstrated focus on service excellence through the ability to read and act on issues quickly, decisively and effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management with a minimum of three years post graduate experience.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to deliver safe and efficient health care within available resources.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coach, mentor, encourage and guide others to enable them to reach their full potential and effectively adapt to ongoing change within a multidisciplinary group with broad clinical experience and knowledge.
