General Surgery Fellow

The position of General Surgery Fellow is available at Gold Coast Health, a 12,000-strong team focused on delivering exceptional healthcare to the local community.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced skills in general surgery and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care. To be successful in this position, applicants will require a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in surgical procedures and assisting senior surgeons;
  • Contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols;
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in general surgery;
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

A successful applicant will possess a Masters or higher degree in Medicine or Surgery, or equivalent qualification. Relevant experience in general surgery and/or surgical education will also be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
