About the Role

This role supports the management of Coles' Business Continuity and Response function in preparing for and responding to crisis and other events that disrupt Coles' operations. You will work closely with key stakeholders and response leaders to develop and implement effective Business Continuity plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination of crisis and other disruptive events, and independently manage minor and moderate activations and incidents with operational and commercial teams.
  • Support response leaders and coordinators in the effective development and implementation of Business Continuity plans.
  • Analyse data to determine emerging BCP risk exposures and lead projects to improve Coles' resilience.
  • Provide support to executives, response leaders, and coordinators in responding to BCP and crisis-level events.
  • Develop relationships with key external stakeholders involved in the management of BCP events.
  • Facilitate and contribute to the delivery of reporting to the Board and its subcommittees, to Coles Executive and Management, and to various stakeholders across the functions and business units.

About You and Your Skills

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in business continuity, risk management, and crisis response. You will have:

  • Tertiary degree in management, law, finance, economics, IT, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working with an ASX-listed company or in resilience and emergency response.
  • Proven capabilities in analysing, interpreting, presenting, and reporting complex information.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally within an organisation.
  • Working knowledge of business resilience, governance, and risk policies and practices.
  • Proven experience engaging regularly with a variety of stakeholders, including senior managers.
