Job Description

Safety Specialists play a crucial role in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and delivering impactful safety initiatives within the logistics and transportation industry.

The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all road transport safety-related activities across the business, covering both owned fleets and subcontractors. They will partner with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in transport safety.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading industrial company supporting its logistics and transportation safety compliance function across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee road transport safety activities across the business.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including regional logistics managers, transport planners, and subcontractor partners.
  • Lead and implement HSEQ safety training programs.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with national and company-wide safety standards.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to drive continuous improvement in transport safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transportation and logistics safety (HSEQ).
  • Strong knowledge of road transport safety standards, regulations, and compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work across national operations and build a strong safety-first culture.
