Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled food preparation professional to join our kitchen team in Perth, Western Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients to the highest standard, working behind the scenes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes. You will work closely with the kitchen team, supporting chefs in their roles, maintaining an efficient and organised prep station, and adhering to our hygiene and food safety standards.

About You
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a cohesive team
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment (essential)
  • Positive attitude, with a focus on supporting your fellow team members
  • Experience with Asian ingredients is a plus, but not essential
  • Reliability and punctuality are key for this role
  • Ability to prep ingredients efficiently, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
Main Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Standards – Maintain high standards of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness during food prep and ingredient storage
  • Preparation & Organisation – Ensure ingredients are prepped in advance and stored correctly, ensuring the kitchen has everything it needs to meet the service requirements
  • Team Support – Work closely with the kitchen team, ensuring they have the right ingredients ready for the line during service, and assist with general kitchen duties when required
  • Food Safety – Follow all food safety guidelines, ensuring food is stored, handled, and prepared according to high standards
  • Consistency & Quality – Ensure all prep is done according to recipes and specifications to maintain consistency across all dishes
  • Inventory Management – Assist with stock rotation and monitor ingredient levels to ensure smooth operation throughout service
