The Senior Consultant role is a key position in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team.

Job Description

This senior-level professional will leverage internal audit, financial, compliance, and risk management expertise to advise clients on strengthening their internal controls and governance processes, as well as compliance and risk maturity.

The GRC team works with boards, audit and risk committees, and management of large private and public sector entities to:

  • Ensure high standards of governance, compliance, and performance
  • Strengthen organisational reputation and stakeholder trust
  • Provide a comprehensive view of risks and effective management thereof
  • Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and controls
  • Provide confidence that business risks and legal and compliance obligations are managed effectively
About this Role

This role will be responsible for scoping, execution, and reporting for client-facing projects covering governance advisory, risk and control advisory, contract management, and performance reviews, as well as internal audit projects.

As a Senior Consultant, you will consult with clients on establishing effective governance arrangements, implementing business process controls, and assisting them in measuring business performance and risk management.

  1. Work collaboratively with multiple client engagement teams across various sectors to assess governance, risk management, contract management, and internal control frameworks.
  2. Deliver programs of work to assess and uplift or provide assurance over frameworks, processes, risks, and controls. This could be in the first line, supporting management; in the second line, supporting risk, compliance, or legal functions; and/or in the third line as part of a co-sourced or outsourced internal audit function.
  3. Engage with stakeholders to support reporting on engagement outcomes, including delivery of assurance or consulting reports and facilitation of forums to discuss engagement results.
  4. Lead junior team members on a day-to-day basis, mentoring and providing professional development.
  5. Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support the identification of opportunities for future business.
