Airport Mishandled Baggage Services Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Airport Mishandled Baggage Services team at Sydney International Airport. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have the ability to multitask with ease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for passengers at the carousel, providing assistance and guidance as needed
  • Monitor carousels for issues such as belt stoppages and passenger concerns, ensuring that all baggage is efficiently and accurately handled
  • Liaise with the below-wing team to resolve missing baggage issues and provide updates to passengers
  • Record and track rush bags received, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies to the relevant authorities
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Baggage Services Supervisors, ensuring that all problems are promptly addressed
  • Create and manage files for missed or damaged bags, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Deliver or forward baggage to passengers, ensuring that all items are accounted for and handed over safely

  • Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety and security procedures

Remuneration:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes a base salary of $45,000, plus superannuation and other benefits.
