We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to support children and families through cancer care at John Hunter Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will join our dedicated psychosocial team and contribute to the provision of high-quality care.
Job Description:
- Provide psychological therapy to support adjustment to acute or chronic health conditions, developmental, behavioral, or psychological concerns complicating recovery from medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with child life therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
