About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team in the Hunter Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring family visits between children and their families, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and facilitate contact between the child or young person and the family member.
- Establish rapport with children and young people through mentoring or youth work.
- Provide transportation as required.
- Complete report writing after each contact with a child or young person.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, or other relevant qualifications to the industry.
- Current Unrestricted Full Drivers Licence.
- Comprehensively insured vehicle, child lock system and back seat capacity.
- Current First Aid and CPR and/or willing to obtain.
- Confident in using a computer and Microsoft Outlook.
- Previous experience working with children and young people.
