Operations Administration Assistant Role

A leading tour operator has a career opportunity for an entry-level administration assistant in our operations department. Our operations department manages the logistics and supply chain of our tour coach operations across Australia, ensuring seamless services are provided to our many stakeholders.

This is an entry-level role that involves working behind the scenes to ensure the operations team can perform their daily tasks with confidence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Booking and confirming hotels and venues
  • Arranging and confirming guest airport transfers
  • Maintaining and updating tour information and data in our systems
  • Maintaining stock and control of uniforms, collateral, and merchandise for the department
  • Actioning enquiries from the coach division, suppliers, the reservations team and external suppliers
  • Accurately completing monthly reports

We are looking for a naturally organized person who can work with processes and deal with ad hoc duties as required. You'll also be eager to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Be a team player and be able to work unsupervised
  • A high attention to detail
  • Excellent people skills across a range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Excel and MS Word)
  • A sound knowledge of Australian geography would be highly desirable

Candidates with prior experience in administration skills in travel or tourism will be highly regarded.
