Director of Clinical Software Development

As Director of Clinical Software Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of gastroenterology research technology. You will lead the technical innovation behind industry-leading imaging solutions, AI-powered clinical platforms, and precision medicine technologies that are setting new standards in GI research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for clinical platforms, AI solutions, and data systems
  • Architect enterprise-grade, cloud-native solutions maintaining GxP compliance and regulatory standards
  • Oversee technology stack selection, infrastructure choices, and integration strategies
  • Develop partnerships and oversee development of solutions for clinical research, including AI/ML models and computer vision platforms
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify technology opportunities that differentiate services and improve trial efficiency

You will shape the future of gastroenterology research technology while leading engineering teams to build solutions that directly impact the development of treatments for IBD, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and other GI conditions.

Technical expertise is essential in this role, with a background in life sciences, clinical research, or CRO environments being highly desirable. Experience with medical imaging, gastroenterology research, or healthcare AI applications is also valuable.

You will work closely with product teams to prioritize features based on patient impact, clinical utility, and business value in healthcare or life sciences environments.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years leading enterprise software development with deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern development practices
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production
  • Proven track record of implementing engineering practices that dramatically increase development velocity while maintaining quality
  • Background in life sciences, clinical research, or CRO environments
  • Domain expertise in medical imaging, gastroenterology research, or healthcare AI applications

Strategic thinking and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are crucial in this role.
