
Temporary Administrative Support Officer

Full-time temporary administrative support role available in the Hobart CBD.
This position sits within the Tasmanian Health Sector, the largest department of all Tasmanian Government agencies. Their responsibilities include hospitals, ambulances, public housing, community health and related areas including limited involvement in primary healthcare.
You will provide solid administrative support to a busy team for a six-week period. Your core duties will be providing general support to the office and will include:
- Maintenance of office supplies through purchasing and invoicing processes
- Receiving client enquiries via phone and providing information or forwarding to the relevant department for assistance
- Supporting the coordination of responses to all requests for information, briefings, and correspondence
- Providing support to meetings as required including the preparation and circulation of agendas, organisation of venues, participants, equipment and catering
- Setting up, maintaining and updating databases and spreadsheets
To be successful, you will have:
- The ability to demonstrate initiative, judgment and discretion in a fast-paced environment
- Effective organisational and office administration skills
- The ability to complete a wide range of tasks with a high degree of accuracy within established deadlines and with minimal supervision
- Proficient keyboard skills and experience in the MS Office Suite
- Good communication skills
You will receive an attractive casual hourly rate and work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, completing a 38-hour standard week. You will get the opportunity to work independently with minimum supervision on a day-to-day basis but will receive overall direction and guidance through your line manager.
