
Full-Time Temporary Finance Assistant

This is a temporary contract role for a Finance Services Officer based in the Hobart CBD fringe.
The position sits within one of the five municipalities that constitutes the Greater Hobart area. This is a temp role offering full-time hours for 3 weeks.
You will provide finance and clerical assistance to a busy division during this period. Your core duties include:
- Accurate data entry
- Processing invoices for clients
- Maintaining financial records in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation
- Raising and receiving Accounts Receivable transactions in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Checking the accuracy of information during data capture, identifying discrepancies and correcting charges, calculations and codes
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the ability to undertake clerical, administrative and financial tasks, utilising financial management information systems and MS Office software. You should also have the ability to process high volume data with accuracy to detail, knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures, including financial regulations, legislations and policies, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands and work well under pressure. Tech One experience is desirable.
In return, you will receive an attractive casual hourly rate and work a 5-day week. You will get the opportunity to work semi-autonomously in a small team.
