Hillcrest Christian College is a private, interdenominational, co-educational day school with over 2,000 students located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

We are seeking a dedicated and relational leader to join our Senior Learning Community (SLC) as a House Leader. This role supports the Deputy Head of SLC – Pastoral in driving a professional improvement agenda and contributing to a shared educational vision focused on delivering quality learning outcomes for all students.

As House Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of students. You will lead behavioural processes, manage cultural events, and promote student voice, while setting high expectations for behaviour and attendance.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for leading a team of four House Leaders to ensure consistency and alignment across the SLC.
  • You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement strategies that support the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of students.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Deputy Head of SLC – Pastoral in driving a professional improvement agenda.
  2. Contribute to a shared educational vision focused on delivering quality learning outcomes for all students.
  3. Lead behavioural processes to promote positive relationships and a supportive environment.
  4. Manage cultural events to celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity.
  5. Promote student voice and encourage active participation in decision-making processes.
  6. Set high expectations for behaviour and attendance, and monitor progress towards achieving these goals.
