Promoting Wellbeing in the South East Region

Job Description:

Attracting passionate and dedicated mental health professionals, we offer a unique opportunity to work closely with school communities in providing quality mental health care and support for students. As a wellbeing officer with our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions and psycho-educational assessments to help students overcome learning and adjustment difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with teachers and other professionals. You will also need to be flexible and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver individualised and group counselling sessions for students, parents, and families.
  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties.
  • Coordinate professional development programs for teachers and other staff members.
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies.
