Energy Partnerships Manager Role

This is a permanent opportunity to lead energy partnerships and drive Australia's net zero transition.

The successful candidate will combine business development and account management across manufacturing, retail, and property portfolios. They will be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane CBD.

About the Energy Partnerships Manager Role

Origin Zero helps large businesses accelerate their decarbonisation journey with tailored energy solutions. We are expanding our Strategic Partners team due to growth. The role requires an experienced relationship builder who can thrive in business development, account management, and project delivery.

  • Expand Origin Zero's customer base, focusing on the mentioned sectors.
  • Manage strategic accounts for seamless energy solutions.
  • Develop compelling customer value propositions for commodity and non-commodity solutions.
  • Identify, secure, and grow high-value opportunities through new business development and account growth strategies.
  • Lead major acquisition and retention initiatives, influencing senior decision makers.

The Energy Partnerships Manager will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on customer needs and business targets.

Requirements for Success

To succeed, you should be a strategic thinker who understands long-term business objectives and executes plans effectively. Knowledge of sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact are essential.

  • B2B business development experience with a proven track record of delivering growth.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, retail, and/or property portfolio clients.
  • Experience in the energy sector, spanning both commodity and non-commodity solutions.
  • A background or technical qualifications in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical or Project Management) and a consultative approach to understanding customer energy needs.
  • Able to balance new business hunting with nurturing and growing existing accounts.
  • A commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills, engaging C-suite executives and influencing decision-making.
