Lead Arborist Team

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Arborist to join our team in a leadership position. The successful candidate will oversee the arboriculture services, ensuring the maintenance and improvement of our parks, open spaces, and street trees.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out horticultural and arboriculture activities to ensure high standards in our parks.
  • Make decisions and implement work practices in line with best practices in horticulture, arboriculture, and greenkeeping.
  • Mentor staff within the team and provide on-the-job training.
  • Undertake day-to-day management of staff and assigned tasks.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed to assist other teams and operational areas.
Requirements:
  • Minimum certificate III qualification in Horticulture, relevant to the position/area of specialisation (arboriculture).
  • Certificate I and II in Chainsaw Operations.
  • Hold a current NSW MR Driver's License.
  • White Card.
  • Elevated Work Platform.

  • A permanent full-time position with Monday-Friday hours.
  • 38 hours per week with a fortnightly rostered day off.
  • An attractive remuneration package from $78,199 to $86,118 plus 12% Superannuation.
  • Allowances in accordance with the Local Government Award.
