Job Title: Senior Anaesthesia Leader

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced anaesthetist to take on a senior role within our department. The successful candidate will have sound clinical knowledge in anaesthetics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and team building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership and management of the anaesthesia department, ensuring high-quality patient care and service delivery.
  • Contribute to teaching and professional development of junior medical staff, driving continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery.
  • Lead quality assurance activities and participate in accreditation readiness, incident management, and research initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
  • Possess or be eligible for specialist registration (Anaesthesia) with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Possess Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
  • Have a strong track record of leadership and management experience, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision, as well as a familiarity with research concepts.
