Data Analyst Position

Position Overview:

The Data Analyst role is a key component of our organisation's data-driven decision making process. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends and patterns, and develop data visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns, and develop data visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to design and implement data collection processes.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data management systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Design and implement predictive models to forecast business outcomes.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with machine learning and predictive modelling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

About You:

  • To be successful in this role, you will possess a degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions such as Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
  • Highly regarded: knowledge of the heavy vehicle or transport industry.
  • Experience in real-time, high-volume transactional environments.
