About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Publishing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-level publishing and editorial expertise to various teams, publish research reports and related documents across channels to support communication and extension outputs.
  • The role involves managing a streamlined publishing process ensuring high-quality digital outputs with governance and quality assurance, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing the publishing workflow for reports, summaries, and fact sheets.

Duties:

  1. To model our organisation's values in daily interactions with Program Managers, Communications Managers, researchers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  2. Manage outsourcing of editing and design work, including quality checks, to ensure timely delivery of publications.
  3. Publish final reports across channels, including website, cataloging, printing, and archiving, and manage print-on-demand services and handle publication inquiries.
  4. Develop templates for review and feedback processes, train stakeholders on publication development and delivery, and monitor workflow delivery and stakeholder interactions.
  5. Secure reliable external contractors and providers, and maintain records management for publications.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in writing/communications or equivalent experience with 5+ years in editorial/publishing.
  • Proficiency in editing, formatting, and proofreading, with experience in digital publishing and managing contractors.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and manage quality systems, familiarity with video conferencing/webinar tools, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
