About the RoleThis is a career-defining opportunity to make a real impact on the health and safety of our employees and the communities we work in. You will work closely with our Executive General Manager (EGM) of People, Safety and Sustainability to develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy that aligns with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures that meet legislative requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to health and safety teams across the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement health and safety training programs.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety or a related field.
- Significant experience in health and safety leadership and management.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
