Your expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology will be instrumental in identifying and addressing risks in investigations and providing guidance on best practices.

You will work closely with international and domestic law enforcement agencies, regulators, industry, and academia to establish and maintain relationships and provide investigator training and awareness.

Key responsibilities include supporting AFP operational needs in cryptocurrency-related investigations, uplifting the AFP's capabilities to take appropriate action where cryptocurrencies are identified in investigations, and ensuring the AFP is a step ahead of organized crime.

Daily tasks include supporting investigations to identify, trace, and seize cryptocurrencies that have been used to facilitate or are the proceeds of crime, and preparing and writing tracing reports and witness statements for criminal and civil proceedings.

Requirements include being an Australian Citizen, having a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance or the ability to obtain one, and relevant qualifications or experience and knowledge in financial investigation, data analysis, and cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
