We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the Ballarat/Sunbury/Melton/Macedon regions for a Gas Services and Mains Layer position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lay mains on the Ausnet Network in new and established areas
- Service laying on the Ausnet Network in new and established areas
- Operate spotter equipment for excavator operators
- Assist with hand digging around assets
- Conduct temporary reinstatement of footpaths, crossovers and roads
- Drive service truck daily (depot - job site(s) - depot)
- Work Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime

Requirements:

- Proven experience in the gas industry in a similar role
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic
- Enjoy manual labor
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working with and around critical underground infrastructure
- High regard for safety
- Problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions

Essential Certifications:

- Australian Driver's License and regular access to a car
- MR Truck License
- White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
- Spotters Registration Certificate
- All relevant certificates for a 'Mainlayer' and 'Servicelayer' as per the Ausnet Training Matrix
