The Heritage Registry and Education Department is seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to the Victorian Government's groundbreaking work with First Peoples. This unique opportunity will enable you to work in new and innovative ways, recognising First Peoples as self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria.

As the Heritage Registry Training and Education Officer, your key responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and delivering education and training programs to improve understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register and functions of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Registry Information System (ACHRIS).

Key requirements for this role include:

  • An understanding of Aboriginal cultural heritage management and the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006
  • Experience in delivering education and training to various stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, heritage professionals, students, and government bodies
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal skills to articulate and present complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills

A vocational, graduate, or Bachelor-level qualification in Adult Education would be advantageous. This position is open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
