The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in occupational therapy principles and practices, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of an individual's functional abilities and support needs to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals, promoting seamless transitions between services and optimizing outcomes.
  • Make recommendations for equipment, home modifications, and support services based on assessment findings, facilitating client-centered care and promoting autonomy.
  • Prepare high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of practice.
  • Educate clients and families on adaptive strategies, energy conservation, and safe task performance, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards of practice, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or eligibility to apply
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
  • It's the kind of career where well-developed time management skills are a must & plus;
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
