Kennel Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kennel Attendant. As a key member of our animal care staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our canine companions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily care and attention to dogs, including feeding, watering, toileting, bathing, and grooming to maintain their overall health and hygiene.
  • Transporting dogs safely to designated locations while adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with veterinary care through the management and implementation of health treatment plans for dogs in our care.
  • Implementing dog handling techniques and supervising the general behavior of kennelled dogs to prevent noise and ensure a positive environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of individual dogs while boarding in the kennels.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all kennel areas and associated equipment according to policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience in animal care or a related field, demonstrating good dog handling skills and ability to show effective leadership and control over dogs.
  • Able to competently handle dogs of all ages and training levels.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and a high level of initiative, while working under direction.
  • Hold a valid driver's license in NSW to transport dogs.
