Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing food and water for pets in our care
  • Conducting health checks and general animal husbandry
  • Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviors to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
  • Offering enrichment through play and scheduled activities
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment through frequent cleaning and upkeep
  • Building strong relationships with our pet owners through feedback and transparency
  • Creating and sharing media content with our pet owners through videos and photos
  • Providing daily administrative support such as answering enquiries and record keeping
Requirements:
  • Available to attend an unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
  • Availability on weekends and school holiday periods
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be driven, as the role can be physically demanding
  • Must be attentive and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Capacity to follow routines, policies, and procedures
  • Previous experience working with animals is preferred
