About the Role:
UGL is seeking a skilled Project Cost Manager to join our existing project team in Kwinana. This role involves managing and tracking project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets, and supporting the Project Controls and Execution teams to deliver on project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Compile weekly and monthly cost reports, monitoring project performance against budget and identifying variances.
- Change Management: Handle variations and change requests, adhering to our approved change management framework.
- Client Claims: Develop accurate monthly cost impact claims and liaise with the client for approval.
- Timekeeping Accuracy: Examine and reconcile weekly timesheets with gate data to ensure precise labour cost tracking.
- Procurement Support: Issue Material Requisitions (MRs) in accordance with UGL's procurement policies and ensure prompt goods receipting.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor invoicing, ensuring swift and accurate processing.
- Month-End Reporting: Assist with month-end tasks including hours accruals, cost accruals, journal entries, and forecasting.
- Team Collaboration: Provide cost control support to the Project Controls Coordinator and the wider project team as needed.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control, project accounting, accounts payable, or payroll roles.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement and finance processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipting, and cost reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and robust analytical skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Salary Estimate: AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
