Civil Project Manager - Road Construction

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and leading road construction and maintenance projects from a contractor's standpoint.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Budgeting, programming, and monitoring expenditure to ensure projects are delivered within budget and time constraints.
  • Managing labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
  • Undertaking contract management activities, including client liaison and procurement of road making materials and project services.
  • Implementing project management techniques and systems in accordance with company processes.
  • Submitting reports and providing information to management within timeframes.
  • Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes.
  • Contributing to the estimating process for bids or offers.
  • A high standard in traffic management.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications.
  • Experience delivering TIC(SI), MW, and RMPC contracts for TMR or similar clients.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, P6, or other similar project management packages.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and computer literacy skills.
  • Experience with QMS and their effective application on construction projects.
  • Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment.

The proposed hours are 38 per week, however, longer hours and weekend work may be required to suit workload. The roles are Mackay based, however, some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements. You must have the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current driver's license.
