Vehicle Mechanic

This role involves conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications, experience, and skills to excel in this position.

About You:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience
  • Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
  • Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
  2. Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
  3. Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces parts
  4. Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  5. Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
