Eagers Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive General Manager to join our QLD Provincial management team. This role, reporting to the Group General Manager - QLD Provincial, will be responsible for leading our Toowoomba Kia and Mitsubishi dealership locations in continued success. This is an exciting new opportunity to expand our existing leadership team due to ongoing growth of the region. The role commences as a General Manager, with the potential for the right candidate to progress to Dealer Principal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of team engagement, performance, accountability, and innovation.
  • Actively direct the formulation and implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Take a prominent role in business development initiatives to expand sales.
  • Review the operating results of the dealerships; compare them to objectives and manufacturer expectations, and take steps to exceed results.
  • Hold regular meetings with management teams to review performance in all areas, including marketing, sales, quality, customer satisfaction, supplier issues, and personnel.
  • Oversee and drive the People strategy, including workforce planning, engagement, development, and performance.
  • Select and supervise Senior Management, empowering them to manage their departments daily.
  • Manage business relationships at all levels, including corporate, OEMs, industry groups, and relevant commercial bodies.
  • Represent the dealership at functions and forums to enhance its profile in the community.
  • Review budgets and financial performance metrics regularly with the Financial Controller.
  • Manage inventory and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with licenses, contracts, and legal requirements.
