Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client, a renowned Australian Arts institution, on an eight-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to work with a creative and welcoming team, with a focus on financial management and reporting.
About the RoleThe Finance Manager will report to the CFO/COO and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance team, including two direct reports. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to the CFO and other stakeholders
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Acting as the main contact for the Auditors
- Ensuring compliance with government requirements and regulations

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience in a finance management role, preferably in an externally funded environment
- Proven ability to manage a small team and lead by example
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
- Professional qualifications as an Accountant (e.g. CA / CPA or similar)
- A strong get-up-and-go personality and ability to business partner effectively
