Procurement Coordinator Job Summary:

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading or assisting in drafting initial tender packages, including developing bill of quantities and compiling key contract documents. You will also participate in tender recap reviews and scope compliance verification.

This role involves performing quantity take-offs and tracking changes between 30% to Issued For Construction (IFC) level designs. You will review vendor product/equipment data for compliance to procurement specifications and lead or assist in writing award recommendations and risk mitigation plans.

You will prepare subcontract/supply agreements, coordinate Trade Contractors (TCs)/scope of works reviews, and assist with setting up procurement trackers/logs. Additionally, you will compile and maintain a repository of scopes of works and update it with input from project execution teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related discipline or trade experience, along with 3-5 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, procurement, or a related field. They will have successfully awarded supply/subcontract agreements valued at up to $10 million and possess general construction knowledge.

They will also have introductory knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity takeoff procedures and systems, subtrade partner procurement, interdepartmental functions, pricing, and compensation models. The ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders is essential, as well as a working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related discipline or trade experience;
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, procurement, or a related field;
  • Successfully awarded supply/subcontract agreements valued at up to $10 million;
  • General construction knowledge;
  • Introductory knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation.
