This role is responsible for shaping and growing our safety culture with a focus on care, trust, and inclusion.

The ideal candidate will have experience in embedding a risk-based approach to keep people safe both physically and mentally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and customers to develop and execute business and site plans
  • Embed a risk-based approach with a focus on every day, critical, and psychosocial risks
  • Coach and mentor leaders through site visits, facilitated training, and workshops
  • Develop and maintain the system with a focus on risk, health, compliance, and customer expectations
  • Manage serious incident investigations and regulatory notifications/interventions
  • Measure and report on performance, trends, and outcomes

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in safety, health, and wellbeing and/or other risk-based roles
  • Deep understanding of the risks unique to the transport, warehousing, and resources industry
  • Commitment to personal development through formal education or other training programs
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and leading incident investigations
  • Working knowledge of work health and safety legislation
  • Ability to develop and present results, plans, and updates to leadership teams and customers
