Power Line Design Specialist

Transmission projects are a crucial part of our nation's infrastructure.
A Project Engineer plays a vital role in the development and execution of these projects, ensuring they meet technical and quality standards. Key responsibilities include conceptual design, preliminary and detailed design, material procurement, construction support through line energization, project scope documentation, finite element design modeling using specialized software, engineering design of structures and foundations, and overseeing a team of Design Engineers, Designers, Drafters, and support staff.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Senior Engineer or Project Manager to direct a project team in creating detailed drawings, specifications, and other documents for power line facility construction.
Responsibilities also include staking sheets, sag charts, and other construction exhibits, as well as developing loading, framing, foundation, and plan & profile drawing sets, producing material and construction specifications, and performing other design tasks as needed.
Key qualifications for this position include a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, 6+ years' experience in project and design engineering, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization and planning abilities, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Additional requirements include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight project deadlines, and provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
