Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Operator to join our team at the Gold Coast Desalination plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and water quality.

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification in a relevant field (HV highly regarded) and experience in maintaining pumps, pipelines, and other mechanical equipment. Knowledge of water treatment operations is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring all process, maintenance and operational issues on a day-to-day basis.
Assessing plant operations and assisting in plant commissioning, optimization, monitoring and reporting on status or condition of plant and systems.
Responding to and rectifying alarms generated by SCADA.
Undertaking laboratory analysis and sample collection.
Troubleshooting problems with plant, equipment and processes.

Requirements

Trade qualifications in a relevant field (HV highly regarded).
Experience in maintaining pumps, pipelines, and other mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of water treatment operations (preferred).
