Building Construction Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this exciting opportunity.
This is a challenging role that requires a unique combination of skills and experience.
- The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A trade qualification or equivalent in building construction
- Demonstrated expertise in writing specifications, reviewing plans, estimating costs, and quantities of building works
- Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian standards
- Familiarity with digital drawing programs such as CAD
About the Role:
This position involves providing support to the Manager, Major Projects throughout the duration of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving technical, contract, and project management issues while ensuring the implementation of appropriate procedures, guidelines, policies, and practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing effective and efficient project management administration to ensure components of projects align with council objectives and are completed within required scope, timeframes, costs, and quality products
- Applying suitable procedures, guidelines, policies, and practices to incorporate work health safety requirements into project and contract documentation
- Preparing building specifications and estimates for building projects
