Role Overview

Our organization seeks an ERZ Controller to join our team at a prominent underground mine. This long-term opportunity is situated 160 kilometers west of Mackay.

This role involves guiding the team to meet targets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to operational protocols. Responsibilities include ensuring a secure workspace, identifying and managing risks, and promoting safety initiatives.

Additional duties include coaching and supporting team members, implementing environmental guidelines, checking equipment performance, and recommending process improvements.

As part of this position, you will be responsible for fostering high-performance standards, conducting risk assessments, and participating in safety investigations.

About You:

  • Must possess strong safety and risk management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
  • Hold a 3rd Class Managers Certificate of Competency or Deputy's Certificate of Competency.
  • Display competent supervisory skills.
  • Have S1, S2, S3 and risk management and investigation qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a positive attitude towards flexible working arrangements.
