About this Job:

Operate complex machinery, like longwall mining equipment, to extract coal from underground seams. This requires experience in longwall operations and a deep understanding of mine safety protocols.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in longwall equipment operation and holds current competencies in longwall operations and equipment maintenance. They must also be committed to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Operate longwall equipment according to mine plans and safety standards.
  • Maintain and perform routine checks on equipment, including the shearer, roof supports, AFC, BSL, etc.
  • Participate in pre-starts, personal risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production targets and support site improvement initiatives.
About You:
  • A strong track record of operating complex machinery and demonstrated expertise in longwall mining.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mine safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to achieving business objectives.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
