A unique opportunity exists to join us in supporting National Cargo Operation and Corporate division. This role will provide support to senior leaders, aligning people objectives with business goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner and coach Cargo and Finance Directors and their leadership teams.
  • Develop an understanding of the business to identify key HR opportunities and risks.
  • Provide operational support, advice, and guidance to people leaders across the business on all people-related matters.
  • Work with the director of People and Culture to facilitate and build the business's capability for change and people leaders' capability to effectively manage people during times of transformational change.
  • Report on and analyze key people metrics for the business.
  • Partner with various stakeholders across the business to ensure compliance and employee engagement.
  • Drive a consistent employee experience of national people initiatives at a site level.

Comply with relevant policies and conduct work in accordance with our OH & S Management System and customer OH & S requirements. Report immediately any hazard, injury, or near miss/hit.

Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience as a HR/P&C Business Partner or HR/P&C Manager for a medium-sized company.
  • Experience with blue-collar and unionized workforce.
  • Well-developed ER & IR skills.
  • Understanding of key HR/P&C principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in business improvement and rolling out policies and procedures.
  • Strong experience with liaising with senior stakeholders and ability to sustain effective working relationships across the business.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record in successfully delivering key HR initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years' generalist experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
Desirable Criteria
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Office particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
