Key Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing, supervising and certifying aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out, overseeing and verifying aircraft maintenance in compliance with approved data and specifications
  • Certifying aircraft maintenance tasks within the scope of B1 Licence and company authorizations
  • Reporting significant aircraft defects or AOG to supervisors and base maintenance coordinators
  • Leading business improvement initiatives
  • Managing daily tasks efficiently and safely
  • Applying technical knowledge to solve complex problems independently
  • Supervising and directing team members effectively
  • Communicating effectively with internal departments and teams to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines, aircraft frames and mechanical systems
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspection and repair activities
  • Assisting with investigations into serious accidents and implementing corrective actions
  • Adhering to safety instructions from supervisors at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • B1 CASA pt 66 licence (unrestricted)
  • B737 NG and OR A320 NEO/CEO type rated
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical in a Line or Base Maintenance environment
  • Experience working within a Safety Management System
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Customer focus and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PART 145 regulatory framework
