Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our pre-opening team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia.
Job DescriptionThis role reports directly into the General Manager and will be responsible for end-to-end administrative support across various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, wellbeing and occupational health and safety.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to provide proactive and supportive guidance to colleagues, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment Process Management: Manage the entire recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to attract top talent.
- Employee Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
- P&C Projects and Events: Coordinate various HR projects and events, providing administrative support as needed.
- Payroll Support: Assist with the fortnightly payroll process as required, maintaining accurate records and adhering to deadlines.
- HR Advice and Query Management: Provide expert advice and support on HR-related matters, resolving queries and concerns efficiently.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in HR administration, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
We offer a competitive salary package, reflecting your value to the team. Based on market research and industry standards, we estimate the salary for this role to be between AU$60,000 and AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
