Excavation and Paving Specialist Opportunity in Canberra

We are seeking an Excavation and Paving Specialist to join our team based in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have experience in excavation, paving, and road network solutions.

The successful applicant will work closely with our clients to deliver industry-leading research, development, and innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laying asphalt: raking and spreading hot asphalt evenly after it has been poured from the truck or paving machine.
  • Assisting the paving machine operator.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship when laying edges, joins, and corners.
  • Compaction work: operating or assisting with plate compactors, rollers, or hand tampers to compress the asphalt.

Requirements:

  • Asbestos awareness training.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Experience in asphalt laying and pavement maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HR drivers' licenses and operating equipment.
