The Opportunity

Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking an experienced excavator operator who has operated machines ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonne. The ideal candidate will have experience excavating around live assets such as water, gas or electrical assets. The role involves general labouring including site preparation, onsite support and associated civils. We offer a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime.

  • Pipe maintenance experience including reactive water main maintenance, plumbing, gas main and water main renewals
  • NBN or electrical industries where you have excavated around live assets

To be successful, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Experience excavating around live assets
  • An OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
  • The ability to work on sites across ACT and surrounding areas
  • A good work ethic and positive work attitude with the ability to work in a team
  • A strong focus on safety
  • Desirable but not essential: HR or MR licence, Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences

You will also need to pass a pre-employment medical which includes a drug & alcohol test.
