Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our team as a Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Underwriter. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing legal, tax, financial, and other risks associated with corporate transactions across various sectors.

This challenging role involves quoting, project-managing, and underwriting representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring and negotiating bespoke insurance policies with lawyers and brokers domestically and abroad.

The ideal candidate will possess a commercial approach to risk assessment, sharp decision-making skills, and specialist knowledge of M&A transactions. They will be able to effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure, jurisdiction, and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote, project manage, and underwrite representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A transactions.
  • Structure and negotiate bespoke insurance policies with lawyers and brokers domestically and abroad.
  • Win new business and build strong working relationships with key lawyers, bankers, and brokers.
  • Effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure, jurisdiction, and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
